Gose Runner on First(Well Right Field Actually)

It's official. The Blue Jays have placed Jose Bautista on the 15-Day DL with left wrist inflammation. Taking his spot on the roster in none other than Anthony Gose, the speedy Outfielder who is the last remaining healthy piece in the Roy Halladay trade. To make room for Gose on the 40-man roster, Brandon Morrow has been transferred to the 60-Day DL. Morrow is expected back in Late August.

Bautista, who was 2nd in the league in homers, and near the top at a lot of different categories as well(ISO,RBI,BB% amongst others), said that his injury is all about pain tolerance(So he will return when he can handle the pain) because there is no structural damage. Jose also said when meeting with the media today that he believes he was injured because he held onto the bat a little too long, and it has nothing to do with his dives the past few days. He was wearing a soft cast on his left wrist.

Because the Jays are facing a lefty today in CC Sabathia, and because Anthony Gose cannot hit lefties whatsoever, Gose will not start today, although I suspect he will becoming into the game at some point tonight, whether it is hitting or running. According to Barry Davis, he will be playing Right Field tomorrow night.

Morrow is eligible to come off the DL August 11th, but likely won't return until later that month.
